Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy applies to the use of cookies on sollio.ag (our “website”). In this Policy, “we” and “our” refer collectively to Sollio Agriculture and any of its subsidiaries and affiliates.
This page explains how we use cookies and provides instructions on how to disable or delete them. Click here to learn how to manage your cookie preferences.
The data collected on user browsing does not allow us to identify an individual directly, and we do not share information that allows for the identification of individuals with partners that install third-party cookies on our site.
The types of cookies listed in Table 1 may be third-party cookies. We work with third-party advertising companies, such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn and YouTube, which collect and use information about your visits to our website to show you advertising that may be of interest to you. However, Sollio Agriculture does not disclose any information that would allow these advertising companies to identify you. In short, a code in the cookie file allows you to be identified as a user but does not identify you using your personal information (first name, last name or address).
What is a cookie?
Our website uses cookies to collect and process your personal information. This may include information about you obtained through cookies and tracking technologies such as beacons and pixels (collectively, “cookies”). Cookies are small blocks of data that are installed on a browser or device during a session and that remember your preferences or information about you.
Please read our Privacy Policy to learn more about the methods we use to collect and process your personal information.
What kinds of cookies do we use?
We install our own cookies (internal cookies) and third-party cookies on your browser or device when you visit our website. Some of these cookies are automatically uninstalled at the end of your browsing session. Others may remain installed on your device for up to 24 months, or until you delete them.
Table 1 – The cookies we use on our website and why
Essential cookies
Essential cookies cannot be turned off, as they are necessary for the essential functions of our website to work properly. They are generally installed only in response to actions you take that amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. You cannot decline these cookies. They do not store any identifiable personal information.
Functional cookies
Functional cookies allow the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalization in order to recognize you each time you return to our website, and to remember your preferences and what you have consented to. For example, we use a persistent cookie to store basic information about you, such as your most recent searches or your preferred language.
They may be implemented by Sollio Agriculture or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our page. They may be implemented by Sollio Agriculture or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our page.
Performance cookies
Performance cookies allow us to track hits and sources of traffic so that we can measure and improve our website’s performance. They help us learn which pages are the most and least popular and inform us about the paths visitors take through the site. Sollio Agriculture uses Google Analytics to obtain key data, such as the number of people who have visited our website, the busiest times, the duration and frequency of visits, pages visited and keywords searched. Google Analytics helps us understand how people use our website. The data collected also includes your IP address, your geographic location, information on your browser, your device IDs and the sites you visited before and after ours. All information collected by these cookies is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you have visited our site, and we will not be able to monitor its performance.
Targeting (advertising) cookies
Targeting cookies may be installed on our website by our advertising partners. They may be used by these companies to profile your interests and track your online behaviour across different devices and marketing channels. They are used to show you ads that are relevant to you. They enable more effective advertising and re-engagement. They also enable the use of social networking features.
They do not store any directly personal information, but they are based on the unique identification of your browser and device. If you do not authorize these cookies, advertising will be less targeted.
We use internal and third-party advertising cookies. We use Facebook Ads, Google AdWords, YouTube, LinkedIn Ads, and Microsoft Search Network to record user actions and to target the content of our website according to clicks on advertisements on another website.
Advertising cookies allow us to show you relevant advertisements based on your preferences and interests; to limit the number of times you are shown the same advertisement; to measure the efficacy of email traffic, content and campaigns so that we can evaluate our offering; to learn about customer journeys; and to provide a personalized experience.
Why do we use cookies?
To maintain our website
We use cookies to keep our website running smoothly, to analyze our results and to ensure that our website is secure. Cookies also help us spot bugs and errors.
Interest-based advertising
Interest-based advertising (also known as targeted or behavioural advertising) involves determining your preferences and interests using cookies or other tools, then using them to show you advertisements and marketing content that is relevant to you (based on your preferences and interests). Without this type of advertising, you would still see ads while browsing the Internet. However, since these ads would not be tailored to your preferences and interests, they would be less relevant to you and less effective for us.
Internal and third-party cookies
We use our own cookies to ensure that our website works properly, to enhance its performance and to detect bugs and errors for security purposes. We also generate aggregate statistical data about traffic on our website and your behaviour during your visit. Finally, we engage in interest-based advertising, as explained above.
We authorize the placement of third-party cookies by our retargeting and advertising partners in order to track your browsing habits on our website (and elsewhere on the Internet and in applications) so that you can be shown targeted advertisements on other sites (including social media platforms) that we hope align with your interests. For example, if you have viewed pages on our website about a particular product, you may see one of our advertisements for that product or similar products when you visit other websites (including on social media platforms and in applications). These cookies, beacons and other similar technologies, and the information they collect, are also used to limit the number of times an advertisement is shown to you. In addition, they are used to measure the efficacy of our advertising campaigns and provide other types of metrics.
We also allow third-party cookies placed by our affiliate network partners to record information about third-party links or advertisements that you clicked on just before visiting our website. These partners do not collect any personal information that could identify you.
How to manage cookies on our website
When you enter our website, a banner appears at the bottom of the page asking whether you consent to the use of functional, performance and targeting cookies. We apply the principle of privacy by default, which means that these cookies will be blocked unless you authorize us to use them. Essential cookies are necessary to ensure that our website runs smoothly. As such, they cannot be blocked.
