Everything you need to know about feeding goats

The key to success is healthy goats in good body condition that produce enough milk. All this requires a healthy feeding program.

Wondering which feed is right for your goats?

The best feed for them depends on their needs and stage of life.

Milk replacers for kids and doelings

Chevrette 24-20:

  • 100% milk protein

  • Formulation adapted to dairy doelings

  • For early stature development

  • Natural additives to promote good health

Starter and growth feeds

Doeling Starter 20:

  • High palatability

  • Energy source adapted to early digestion profile

  • Complete vitamin and mineral profile (B-complex and organic selenium)

  • For rapid development of rumen papillae during weaning

  • Pellets avoid sorting

TotalDoeling:

  • Complete free-access ration

  • High in digestible and functional fibres

  • Meets doelings’ needs with minimal forage use

  • For maximum development of rumen papillae

Doeling Grower:

  • Made for growing doelings from weaning to first kidding

  • Meets the growth and pregnancy needs of doelings

  • Develops ingestion capacity

Meat Goat Grower:

  • Formulated for meat kids from weaning to slaughter

  • Promotes rapid growth to reduce rearing time

  • Reduces the risk of urinary stones and acidosis

Headstart HiCal Colostrum:

  • Increases doeling survival rate

  • Improves passive immunity transfer

  • Prevents hypothermia, highly nutritious

  • Reduces morbidity

  • Prevents CAE

Complete feeds for goats

Basic pelleted complete feeds: 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24

  • Cost-effective feeds for use with excellent forage

  • Protein levels can be adjusted to suit available forage

Pelleted Plus Series complete feeds: 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24

  • Feeds that improve reproductive performance and health

  • Protein levels can be adjusted to suit available forage

Pelleted Option E complete feeds: 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24

  • Energy-optimized feeds

  • For better performance

  • Use when maintaining good body condition is difficult

Goat Focus 16:

  • Complete ration ensures consistency and stability of the ration

  • Optimal intake

Totalac Goat Plus:

With vitamins and minerals

Use mixed with grain. Contains sulphate-based minor elements and organic selenium for better bioavailability.

Goat supplements:

  • 30, 35, 40 and 44: multi-purpose supplements

  • MM: protein base to use in a half-and-half mix with grain

  • Goat 0-100: promotes performance in early lactation

Goat Mineral 19-5 texture and Goat Mineral 14-6 texture:

  • Complete vitamin and mineral profile for use in TMRs

  • Can be used in free-access feeders

Goat Mineral 15-4 pelleted:

Preparing for kidding

This is a crucial time for goats to produce enough milk for their kids. Rapid growth of the fetuses reduces rumen space. Proper preparation helps the rumen adapt to the challenge of lactation and improves colostrum quality.

Transi-Goat feed:

  • For goats in late pregnancy

  • Stimulates feed intake

  • Reduces the risk of perinatal metabolic disorders
