Three terminals have earned the Green Marine certification
Sollio Agriculture is proud to announce that the Sainte-Catherine Distribution Centre and the Hamilton Terminal have obtained Green Marine certification for a second consecutive year, while the Sillery Distribution Centre Inc. has received it for the first time. This certification recognizes the concrete actions implemented to improve the environmental performance of the terminals and reaffirms Sollio Agriculture’s commitment to responsible and sustainable practices.
A program recognized for sustainable practices
Recognized internationally, the Green Marine program guides the maritime industry toward environmental excellence. It addresses key issues such as air, water and soil quality, biodiversity protection, as well as community relations.
A rigorous, transparent and measurable approach
The program’s approach is based on concrete actions, evaluated using several performance indicators and validated through independent external verification. “This voluntary environmental certification provides us with a rigorous and transparent framework to reduce our footprint well beyond regulatory requirements. What I appreciate most is its continuous improvement logic: it allows us to compare ourselves directly with other terminals across North America so that we can keep improving,” says Maurice Bailo, Director of Operations for Distribution Centres at Sollio Agriculture.
A commitment driven by our teams
This recognition is above all a testament to the commitment of our teams, who work every day to improve our practices in a responsible and rigorous manner. In a process where transparency is at the heart of the program, their engagement directly contributes to strengthening our environmental performance and advancing our operations.
