Every year, Sollio Agriculture teams up with the cooperatives for the Dairy Performance Awards, which recognize the best dairy farmers in Québec and Eastern Ontario.

What are the Dairy Performance Awards?

These awards are for dairy farms that do business with Sollio Agriculture. They recognize farmers that achieve outstanding annual production results in terms of protein + fat delivered to tanks: 

Along with proper seeding conditions, weed control is very important early in the season for corn to maximize yield potential.

For a number of years, I have been planting my dryland grazing corn with my air drill because that is the equipment that I had available, and I didn’t know if spending the money on a custom planter would be worth it. So I made a small experiment to compare the two systems. It shows how planting corn with a planter can make a difference on yield.
