Launch of the AgConnexion | Grain Portal
In our continued efforts to develop our technological capabilities to support farmers, our digital platform AgConnexion is launching the AgConnexion | Grain Portal.
Designed to facilitate grain merchandising, this new tool is being rolled out gradually at various cooperatives in Québec.
“Grain merchandising is very important for farmers,” says Hicham Bencharki, Agronomist and Manager, Digital Product, Analytics and Innovation for Sollio Agriculture. “It has a direct impact on farm income. That’s why one of the goals of our digital product AgConnexion is to streamline and support the grain merchandising process.”
Communicate more easily with the AgConnexion | Grain Portal
“Using digital technology and with user needs in mind, we launched this product to facilitate relationship building and communication between farmers and Sollio & Grains Québec during the sale of grain,” adds Bencharki.
The AgConnexion | Grain Portal allows users to view the information and data needed to make a proposal to sell a volume of grain.
Farmers are invited to connect securely to the portal, where they can view stock market data and base prices offered for different regions on a time scale.
“The portal is connected to the North American grain market (Canada and the United States), so farmers can see the market value of grain,” says Bencharki. “It’s a unique solution for users because they can find all the information that they need to make informed decisions in one place.”
Sell your grain crops quickly and easily
When farmers are ready to sell their grain, they can submit a sales proposal to Sollio & Grains Québec’s regional grain merchants with a single click.
They can then confirm the applicable options, such as grain volume, contract type, etc. “Once farmers express interest in a transaction by submitting a sales proposal, they are connected to a grain merchant automatically,” says Bencharki.
Like all AgConnexion solutions, the Grain Portal is simple, secure and easy to use.
